I still remember the day my Dad drove me to a local Caribou to buy my first professional lens, secondhand off Craigslist. I attached it to my old, clunky DSLR and looked through the viewfinder, thrilled.

 

A few years later in 2018, my first ever client booked me for her senior photos (she is now my second shooter!!) What a milestone that was at the time! Wow. Looking back, it is so very obvious to see how the Lord continued graciously opening doors ever since. Photographing my friends over the last 8 years forever changed me. And I am eternally grateful.

​People are fascinating. Photographing them consistently intrigues me. A well crafted image combines visual artistry and storytelling into one. While stories themselves innately capture our attention, it really is our own personal life story we love the most. Nothing outshines the joy of showcasing my friends' stories through portraiture. Creating deep and meaningful human connections through photography is quite important to me. And that. That is a huge reason why photography has my heart.
